Job description

As an experienced IT Infrastructure Associate (m/f/d), you will join our team and ensure the smooth running of our IT infrastructure. As an IT Administration and Support Specialist, you will manage our IT systems and ensure their reliability, security and optimal performance. You will provide technical support, troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions, working closely with internal teams and external vendors. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work & Responsibilities

Your tasks

  • Monitoring the day-to-day management and maintenance of the organisation’s IT systems, including servers, networks and software applications

  • Respond to IT support requests, troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions to minimise downtime and disruptions

  • Install, configure and upgrade hardware, software and operating systems across the organisation

  • Manage user accounts and permissions to ensure that appropriate access rights are maintained and security protocols are followed

  • Implementing regular data backups and contingency plans to protect critical information

  • Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement and implement necessary upgrades and patches

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to evaluate, procure and implement new IT solutions

  • Performing system audits, identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing measures to provide protection against cyber threats

  • Provide training and documentation to end users to promote the efficient and safe use of IT systems

  • Keep yourself up to date on industry trends, new technologies and best practices in IT administration and support


What makes you stand out

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • Proven experience in IT administration and support, with focus on the maintenance and troubleshooting of complex IT systems

  • Good knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux), networks, hardware and software applications

  • Knowledge in the management and support of Azure Cloud/MS Office 365 services

  • Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices, including data protection and disaster recovery

  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to analyse and solve technical problems efficiently

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment

  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and the ability to prioritise tasks in an effective manner

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus
