Job description
As a highly skilled Senior DevOps Associate (m/f/d), you will join our team and play a key role in increasing the efficiency and reliability of our software development and deployment processes. As the Azure DevOps and Automation Engineer, you will apply your expertise with Azure DevOps tools and automation techniques to streamline operations, increase productivity and ensure the successful delivery of high quality software solutions. This role requires deep technical knowledge, experience with Azure DevOps services and a passion for optimising processes, workflows and pipelines.
Work & Responsibilities
Your tasks
Design, develop and maintain automated workflows and pipelines using Azure and GitLab DevOps tools and technologies
llaboration with development team to define, improve and implement CI/CD pipelines
Configuration and administration of build and release pipelines, including testing and deployment
Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates with tools such as Azure Resource Manager
Implement and manage configuration management tools such as Ansible
Monitoring and optimisation of Azure DevOps pipelines and automation frameworks for performance, reliability and scalability
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to build errors, deployment errors and automation process errors
Keep up to date with the latest trends, tools and best practices in DevOps, automation and cloud technologies
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members on DevOps practices and automatisation techniques
Documentation of processes, procedures and best practices related to DevOps and automation
Requirements
What makes you stand out
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Good knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python for automation tasks
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform or similar technologies
Solid understanding of CI/CD principles, agile software development methods and version control systems (e.g. Git)
Good knowledge of cloud computing platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and related services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions or Azure Container Instances
Tests and documentation are a matter of course for you, you are a good team player and have a desire for this project
Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and their application in the automation of software configuration and deployment
Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g. Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Instances)
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Relevant certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Administrator Associate or Architect are a plus
